Saginaw Swing Arms | FactoryMation

Swing Arms allow an operator to position an enclosed HMI to the desired placement for efficient and comfortable use. These suspension systems feature aluminum couplings and tubes, durable bearings on rotating couplings, and removable access covers on all 90° couplings. The Saginaw suspension systems are available in either open tube or closed tube designs and are rated for NEMA 12 environmental protection. Closed tube designs also function as conduit for wiring to the enclosure.

DETERMINE SPAN AND WEIGHT

Swing Arms require two measurements: span length and suspended weight. Span length is the distance horizontally from the mount to the centerline of the enclosure. Suspended weight is the combined weight of the enclosure, the components within it, and any vertical supports attached to it.
Suspended weight is limited by the span, tubing style, and if an intermediate joint is used. See the charts below for loading curves.

HMI Enclosures & Accessories
Select an enclosure size based upon the space needed for components. Optional stainless enclosures resist corrosion. Keyboard holders and grab handles add additional functionality to the HMI enclosure.

DETERMINE TUBING STYLE

Swing Arm Tubing
Swing Arm tubes are available in 80", 40", and 20" nominal lengths. Closed style tubing can function as a cable conduit. Open style tubing features a removable rubber cover for easy access to wiring.

Mounts are designed to attach suspension tubes to a surface. Hardware to connect swing arm tube to mount is included.
