Mechanical Lugs are used to terminate electrical conductors and to connect electrical wires. This variety of lug nut allows wires to be removed using a tool so that the lug or wire can be replaced independently. Mechanical lugs are available in a variety of sizes.

Our mechanical lugs are available in two series: TA or AU. The primary difference between each series is that the TA models have only a single barrel while AU lugs feature two barrels.
Mechanical lugs (sometimes called electrical lugs) offer one main advantage: maintenance convenience. Mechanical lugs allow wires to be removed by use of a tool. Being able to easily remove the wire means that the wire OR the lug can be easily replaced if necessary. Mechanical lugs are also able to accommodate larger cables.
Electroplating uses electric currents running through a solution to coat the lug in another metal. In this case, the lugs are coated with tin via electroplating to provide corrosion resistance.
Lugs are used to terminate electrical conductors and form a connection between devices by joining wiring. They see widespread use due to their very general-purpose nature. Virtually every industry sees use for lugs in various applications.
