Compression Lugs are used to terminate electrical conductors and to connect electrical wires. This variety of lug nut is semi-permanent and provides a superior grip on the wire. Compression lugs are available in a variety of sizes.

Corrosion Resistance
Electroplating uses electric currents running through a solution to coat the lug in another metal. In this case, the lugs are coated with tin via electroplating to provide corrosion resistance.
Application
Lugs are used to terminate electrical conductors and form a connection between devices by joining wiring. They see widespread use due to their very general-purpose nature. Virtually every industry sees use for lugs in various applications.
