All FMX and Teco AC Drives provide up to 150% torque for up to one minute.  When additional braking torque is required, an optional braking resistor can be added to improve deceleration times. Certain sizes of AC drive require an external braking unit to use a braking resistor.

FMX 240V AC Drives 30HP to 40HP and FMX 480V AC Drives 40 to 75HP require an external braking unit.

TECO CV7300 220V AC Drives 25HP to 40HP and TECO CV7300 440V AC Drives 25HP to 75HP require an external braking unit.
