Factory Visit: Saginaw Control and Engineering - Saginaw, Michigan
We recently paid a visit to Saginaw Control and Engineering in Saginaw, Michigan to discuss new products and opportunities as well as view their updated facilities. While there, we also had the chance to visit their new 144,000 sq. ft. Saginaw West manufacturing facility set to open spring of 2020.
We partnered with Saginaw fifteen years ago, and over those years we have seen them continue to improve their already impressive capabilities. Our product management team has witnessed significant growth over the course of multiple visits. Fifteen years ago, the company had a single manufacturing facility in Saginaw, Michigan as well as warehouses in Kenosha, Wisconsin and Aurora, Ohio. Three warehouse distribution centers have opened around the country since then in Tennessee, Nevada, and Oklahoma. With their latest expansion, their commitment to business growth shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

During our most recent trip to Saginaw, we enjoyed the opportunity to discuss new product launches and entirely new product lines. Additionally, we were treated to a tour of their facilities to see their most recent upgrades. Fiber optic lasers, robotic press brakes, robotic welding, and automated grinding are just a few examples of the modernizations we witnessed. These updates are most evident with a look at their expansive new 144,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. This expansion of their manufacturing capabilities comes only a couple of years after the opening of their newest distribution center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Projected to open in the first quarter of 2020, the new Saginaw West facility is Saginaw’s answer to growing market demands. They hope to ensure even shorter lead times on custom orders and to continue to expand their product lines.
It is always an enlightening experience to see how our partners have changed over the years since previous visits. We are excited to continue to grow our relationship and to launch new products shown to us during our tour of their updated facilities. Saginaw Control and Engineering is a prime example of how our manufacturing partners continue to impress every year.
